Our mini-house concept couples the compactness of a flat with the benefits of a detached house. Maintenance, servicing and care are kept to a minimum – while use of the garden, a view into a green space and privacy are attractive features. Free-standing FlyingSpaces are ideally suited for couples or singles who feel quite comfortable in a living space of 50 square metres and who want to make use of a small residual plot. In this way, FlyingSpaces help to maximise the use of existing residential areas, particularly when they can be set up in the garden of an existing residential building.
Dagmar and Armin Kohler put aside 150 square meters of the plot of the family home for their 50-square-metre FlyingSpace with patio and small front garden.

Mr and Mrs Neller’s FlyingSpace was completed in the maximum size, 14.50 x 4.35 m. The floor plan displays the classic division of living and sleeping, as well as having a second bedroom.
The mini house enhances the town centre of Pottenstein in Franconian Switzerland and stands amid older existing buildings.
The building structure is elevated, and the FlyingSpace is surrounded by a patio. Guests are welcome: the attractive mini house is rented as a holiday home through Airbnb in the popular hiking area.
