In northern Berlin, the Stadler family found an overgrown allotment complete with an abandoned summerhouse. After demolishing the old structure and rebuilding, the site now houses a city villa with two full-sized floors, pyramid roof, a white rendered facade, anthracite grey window frames and a partially timber cladded facade of horizontal Douglas fir louvres. Inside the new owners were keen to use bright, natural materials, and so generated the ambience of a modern classic.
